RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM CEDAR VALLEY IRISH FEST
CULTURAL ASSOCIATION TO HOLD ITS 14TH ANNUAL
IOWA IRISH FEST EVENT FROM JULY 31, 2020 THROUGH
AUGUST 2, 2020, IN AND AROUND LINCOLN PARK AND
SURROUNDING STREETS TO INCLUDE A NOISE
VARIANCE FOR THE DURATION OF THE FESTIVAL.
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Irish Fest Cultural Association is requesting a variance to the
Noise Ordinance from July 31, 2020 thru August 2, 2020 in conjunction with its 14th annual Irish
Fest event, in and around Lincoln Park and surrounding streets, for the duration of the
festival, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Cedar Valley Irish Fest Cultural Association, for a
variance to the Noise Ordinance, from July 31, 2020 thru August 2, 2020 in conjunction with its
annual Irish Fest event, in and around Lincoln Park and surrounding streets, be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June 2020.
