RESOLUTION NO. 2012-040
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF WATERLOO AUTO
PARTS, INC. FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE,
ORDINANCE NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, Waterloo Auto Parts, Inc., 1501 Grandview Avenue, is
requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance and permission to
close a portion of Grandview Avenue between Clark Street north to
the end of Grandview Avenue, starting June 9-10, 2012 from 5:00
p.m. to 1:00 a.m. in conjunction with the Iowa Automotive
Recyclers Summer Outing event, including a live band, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Waterloo Auto Parts, Inc., 1501 Grandview
Avenue, has made formal application for a variance starting June
9-10, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., together with
recommendation of approval of Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request Waterloo Auto Parts, Inc., 1501
Grandview Avenue, for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance, and permission to close a portion of Grandview Avenue
between Clark Street north to the end of Grandview Avenue,
starting June 9-10, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. in
conjunction with the Iowa Automotive Recyclers Summer Outing
event, including a live band, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of January, 2012.
