RESOLUTION NO. 2012-194
RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO LEHMAN
TRUCKING & EXCAVATING, INC. OF WATERLOO IOWA,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,850.00, AND APPROVING
CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
IN CONJUNCTION WITH DEMOLITION AND SITE
CLEARANCE SERVICES (NO REGULATED ASBESTOS -
CONTAINING MATERIALS) FOR THE FOLLOWING
PROPERTIES: 212, 302, 306-308 AND 312
JEFFERSON STREETS; 319 WEST 2ND STREET(SPORTS
PLEX AREA), AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bond and Certificate of Insurance with
Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, in the
amount of $44,850.00, in conjunction with demolition and site
clearance services (no regulated asbestos -containing materials)
for the following properties: 212, 302, 306-308 and 312 Jefferson
Streets; 319 West 2nd Street(Sports Plex area); described in the
plans and specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for
said project in Resolution No. 2012-165, after public hearing on
February 20, 2012 on published notice required by law, be and is
hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid received for said
work.
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of February 2012.
