The general scope of urban renewal activities in the area involves the rehabilitation,conservation,development, and redevelopment of such area, or a combination of such activities in the area, to promote continued growth and devel- opment of commercial activities in the area through various public purpose and special financing activities outlined in the Plan. These activities are deemed is necessary in the interest of the public health,safety or welfare of the residents of the City of Waterloo. The Plan amendment is an amendment to the Plan,originally adopted in 1996 and subsequently amended in 2004, 2014, 2016 and 2019.
