IFC 907 915 IPMC 704 Smoke detectors needed in all bedrooms and
outside of the bedrooms. Smoke detector is needed
in basement. CO detector needed in vicinity of
bedroom.

9-7-49-7-5 Landlord license&rental registration needed for all
rental property. Register all rentals in Waterloo.
No person shall lease, rent,or otherwise allow a
rental unit within the city to be occupied without first
obtaining or renewing a rental registration permit
from the city and designating a responsible local
agent.All rental units must be registered annually as
required by this chapter.
IPMC 504 Draft hood on water heater is not installed to meet
code. Draft hood is not aligned so potential for
carbon monoxide to emit into home. Secure draft
hood.
IPMC 305 Interior surfaces shall be kept clean and sanitary.
potential mold in bathroom and on foundation walls
in basement. Mitigate all potential mold spores in
home.
Wood floors not maintained in good condition.
Several areas on floors have trip hazards from floors
separating.
Floor trim missing and nails are exposed in kitchen.
IPMC 605 Outlet in bathroom is not grounded. Kitchen outlet is
wired wrong. Several outlets are not grounded
throughout the house. Missing outlet and switch
covers throughout the house. Garage door wiring
not an approved application. Garage door opener
needs direct connection to outlet and not run on an
extension cord. Have a licensed electrician check
electric system in house/garage to ensure system is
safe and meets code.
All light fixtures shall have proper globes installed on
lights. Light hanging by wires in basement ceiling.
Missing outlet and switch covers in basement.
IPMC 307 Handrails needed to basement.
IPMC 304.15 Jambs on garage doors missing trim and jambs
busted. Have repaired/replaced. Doors shall be
weather tight and installed so they are capable of
performing their intended function.
IPMC 309 Rodent(bedbugs)potential in unit. Have promptly
exterminated by an approved process that will not be
injurious to the occupants.
IPMC 603 Furnace leaking onto basement floor. Condensate
tube possible blocked and not draining into drain.
Floor registers not installed and maintained. Some
registers covers are broken and not attached to
areas of the house.
IPMC 304.7 Roof and gutters need attention. Ice dams forming
on gutters of house and gutters are falling off the
house. Roof appears to be damaged on rear of
house.
