Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: No Change. Rear door & jamb still needs replaced. House not secured. FAIL 1031.7 - Emergency escape and rescue openings Required emergency escape and rescue openings shall be maintained in accordance with the code in effect at the time of construction, and the following: Required emergency escape and rescue openings shall be operational from the inside of the room without the use of keys or tools. Bars, grilles, grates or similar devices are allowed to be placed over emergency escape and rescue openings provided the minimum net clear opening size complies with the code that was in effect at the time of construction and such devices shall be releasable or removable from the inside without the use of a key, tool or force greater than that which is required for normal operation of the emergency escape and rescue opening. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL 1103.9 - Carbon monoxide alarms Existing Group I-1, I-2, I-4 and R occupancies shall be equipped with carbon monoxide alarms in accordance with Section 915, except that the carbon monoxide alarms shall be allowed to be solely battery operated. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: CO detectors needed in vicinity of the bedrooms. FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of electrical hazards Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used. FAIL R5 - Exterior Structure Is the exterior of the structure maintained in good repair, structurally sound and sanitary state? (IPMC 304) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Roof and sofit need repaired. FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water heater flue not secured to draft hood. Flue not installed into chimney to code. Storage in mechanical room needs attention. Storage can not be within 3 ft of appliances. Need covers on vents on exterior of house. Washer draining into sump pump pit. Shower in basement leaking. Main floor bathroom walls potential to have mold. Wall paper pulling away from wall. Medicine cabinet missing from opening. Rear deck unsafe. Potential mold growth from water damage in basement. (IPMC 603.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water heater draft hood and flue. FAIL R6.D. - Receptacles Every habitable space in a dwelling shall contain not less than two separate and remote receptacle outlets. Every laundry area shall contain not less than one grounding-type receptacle or a receptacle with a GFCI. Every bathroom shall contain not less than one receptacle. Any new bathroom receptacle shall have GFCI protection. All receptacles shall have the appropriate faceplate cover.
