Aisles or aisle accessways shall be provided from all occupied portions of the exit access that contain seats, tables, furnishings, displays and similar fixtures or equipment. The minimum width or required capacity of aisles shall be unobstructed. Exception: Encroachments complying with Section 1005.7. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Doors need to be capable of being used as intended. Slide locks and turn style locks on doors need removed. Egress doors shall be maintained in operable condition. FAIL 1103.9 - Carbon monoxide alarms Existing Group I-1, I-2, I-4 and R occupancies shall be equipped with carbon monoxide alarms in accordance with Section 915, except that the carbon monoxide alarms shall be allowed to be solely battery operated. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: CO detectors still not installed to code. FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of electrical hazards Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Switches and outlets need approved covers. All outlets need to be in working condition. GFCI outlet in kitchen needs replaced. Outlet in bathroom has burn damage and needs replaced. In new and existing Group A, B, E, F, H, I, M, R-1, R-2, R-4 and S occupancies. Exception: In Group R-2 occupancies, portable fire extinguishers shall be required only in locations specified in Items 2 through 6 where each dwelling unit is provided with a portable fire extinguisher having a minimum rating of 1-A: 10-B: C. 2. Within 30 feet (9144 mm) of commercial cooking equipment. 3. In areas where flammable or combustible liquids are stored, used or dispensed. 4. On each floor of structures under construction, except Group R-3 occupancies, in accordance with Section 3315.1. 5. Where required by the sections indicated in Table 906.1. 6. Special-hazard areas, including but not limited to laboratories, computer rooms and generator rooms, where required by the fire code official. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Still no updated fire extinguisher in unit. FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and multiple-station smoke alarms Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Smoke detectors still not installed to code. FAIL 907.2.18.1 - Smoke detectors Not fewer than one smoke detector listed for the intended purpose shall be installed in all of the following areas: 1. Mechanical equipment, electrical, transformer, telephone equipment, elevator machine or similar rooms. 2. Elevator lobbies. 3. The main return and exhaust air plenum of each air-conditioning system serving more than one story and located in a serviceable area downstream of the last duct inlet. 4. Each connection to a vertical duct or riser serving two or more floors from return air ducts or plenums of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems, except that in Group R occupancies, a listed smoke detector is allowed to be used in each return air riser carrying not more than 5,000 cfm (2.4 m^3/s) and serving not more than 10 air inlet openings. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Detectors in each bedroom, outside bedrooms, & in basement. FAIL R4 - Exterior Property Areas Is the exterior property area maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition? This includes grading and drainage, sidewalks and driveways, weeds, and pest infestations. (IPMC 302) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Egress landing, stairs and handrails still needed on exterior. Need to remove and replace stairs since they do not meet code requirements. FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Peeling paint, flooring throughout, kitchen cabinets, all need attention . BARRY STRATTON - 02/06/2020 @ 11:05 Front door and pouch shall be maintained structurally sound, in good repair, and capable of supporting all imposed loads. Guards and railing not safe. No handrails on exterior stairs. BARRY STRATTON - 02/06/2020 @ 11:06 9-7-6 A (3) Deficiencies have not been corrected since August 2019 inspection. Make corrections or unit will need to be vacated. Rental certificate may be revoked for failure to make corrections.
