STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 1010.1.9 - Door operations Except as specifically permitted by this section, egress doors shall be readily
openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or
effort.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: All doors including screen doors shall be
capable of closing and latching. Door hardware needs repaired on screen doors and
jambs need repaired.
FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of
electrical hazards
Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions
in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official.
Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or
damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Romex to exterior lights need changed and
installed to meet code. Lights need proper globes. Open fixture in wall in unit 3
Outlets outside not approved for wet/outdoor locations. Outlets pulling out of boxes
outside. Heating devices in unit 3 not working under window. Need approved light
cover on medicine cabinet in bathroom.
FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and
multiple-station smoke
alarms
Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be
installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Smoke detector needs to be in working
condition. Check all units to ensure all are working. Unit 3 smoke detector is not
working.
FAIL R4 - Exterior Property Areas Is the exterior property area maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition? This
includes grading and drainage, sidewalks and driveways, weeds, and pest
infestations. (IPMC 302)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments:
FAIL R5 - Exterior Structure Is the exterior of the structure maintained in good repair, structurally sound and
sanitary state? (IPMC 304)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Handrails need to be repaired and deck
railing repaired where they are loose and not attached to structure.

repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Ceiling in bathroom in unit 3 need
corrected. Peeling adn abraded paint needs corrected. Install new window on front of
unit 3, currently covered by a board. Kitchen sink leaking and toilet leaking.
Correction plumbing issues.
FAIL R6.B. - Residential Heating Are dwellings provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a room
temperature of 68F? (IPMC 602.2)

FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working
condition? (IPMC 603.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Window AC laying on floor in kitchen.
FAIL R6.D. - Receptacles Every habitable space in a dwelling shall contain not less than two separate and
remote receptacle outlets. Every laundry area shall contain not less than one
grounding-type receptacle or a receptacle with a GFCI. Every bathroom shall contain
not less than one receptacle. Any new bathroom receptacle shall have GFCI
protection. All receptacles shall have the appropriate faceplate cover. (IPMC 605.2)
