STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 1010.1.9 - Door operations Except as specifically permitted by this section, egress doors shall be readily
openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or
effort.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Doors & jambs need repaired.
FAIL 1104.13 - Stairway handrails Stairways shall have handrails on at least one side. Handrails shall be located so that
all portions of the stairway width required for egress capacity are within 44 inches
(1118 mm) of a handrail. Exception: Aisle stairs provided with a center handrail are
not required to have additional handrails.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Handrails need repaired going to lower
level. Guards need repaired on exterior areas.
FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of
electrical hazards
Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions
in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official.
Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or
damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Electric switch pulling out from wall in
bathroom. Baseboard heaters need attention.
FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and
multiple-station smoke
alarms
Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be
installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Smoke detectors need to be in working
condition.
FAIL R4 - Exterior Property Areas Is the exterior property area maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition? This
includes grading and drainage, sidewalks and driveways, weeds, and pest
infestations. (IPMC 302)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Decking decayed and needs repaired.
Railings and supports not affixed to overhang. Gutters need cleaned. Appearance of
mold on exterior ceiling on overhang. Decking unsafe because of slip hazard.

sanitary state? (IPMC 304)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Garbage and debris around property and
on upper level.
FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good
repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Floor in bathroom needs replaced. Toilet
not working water off. Tub surround needs repaired. Need surround trimmed out.
Door to bathroom needs replaced and jamb needs replaced. Trim needs installed
around door. Kitchen cabinets need repaired.
FAIL R6.A. - Interior Structure-
Unsafe Conditions
Were any unsafe conditions noted during the interior inspection?(IPMC 305.1.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Sanitary conditions of the unit need
attention. Flies also need exterminated.
FAIL R6.B. - Residential Heating Are dwellings provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a room
temperature of 68F? (IPMC 602.2)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Baseboard heat needs repaired. Unknown
if baseboard work.
FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working
condition? (IPMC 603.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Stove needs replaced.
FAIL R6.D. - Receptacles Every habitable space in a dwelling shall contain not less than two separate and
remote receptacle outlets. Every laundry area shall contain not less than one
grounding-type receptacle or a receptacle with a GFCI. Every bathroom shall contain
not less than one receptacle. Any new bathroom receptacle shall have GFCI
protection. All receptacles shall have the appropriate faceplate cover. (IPMC 605.2)
