STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 1010.1.9 - Door operations Except as specifically permitted by this section, egress doors shall be readily
openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or
effort.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Security dead-bolt latch needs repaired.
Jamb broken in area of latch.
FAIL 1031.7 - Emergency escape
and rescue openings
Required emergency escape and rescue openings shall be maintained in accordance
with the code in effect at the time of construction, and the following: Required
emergency escape and rescue openings shall be operational from the inside of the
room without the use of keys or tools. Bars, grilles, grates or similar devices are
allowed to be placed over emergency escape and rescue openings provided the
minimum net clear opening size complies with the code that was in effect at the time
of construction and such devices shall be releasable or removable from the inside
without the use of a key, tool or force greater than that which is required for normal
operation of the emergency escape and rescue opening.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Windows need to be capable of opening
and closing.
FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good
repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Potential for mold on clothing, curtains,
refrigerator, and bath ceiling. Potential mold growth coming from moisture levels
inside of the house. Single family dwelling and tenant responsible for
cleaning/sanitation of unit. Dehumidifier was recommended for removal of moisture.
Windows do not open for air circulation. Windows need to be capable of being
opened and closed. Doors and jambs need to be maintained in good condition.
Security latches, jambs, and associated hardware need to be in good condition and
capable of preforming their intended functions. Hole in bath ceiling needs repaired.

Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Potential mold on seals of refrigerator,
bath ceiling, & clothing.

GENERAL NOTES
BARRY STRATTON - 10/04/2019 @ 11:22 When inspecting unit during rental inspection this morning tenant advised she is
moving out because she did not want to continue to have her infant staying in the
conditions.
