Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL 1018.1 - General Aisles and aisle accessways serving as a portion of the exit access in the means of egress system shall comply with the requirements of this section. Aisles or aisle accessways shall be provided from all occupied portions of the exit access that contain seats, tables, furnishings, displays and similar fixtures or equipment. The minimum width or required capacity of aisles shall be unobstructed. Exception: Encroachments complying with Section 1005.7. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL 1031.2 - Reliability Required exit accesses, exits and exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency where the building area served by the means of egress is occupied. An exit or exit passageway shall not be used for any purpose that interferes with a means of egress. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL 2108.4 - Portable fire extinguishers Portable fire extinguishers shall be selected, installed and maintained in accordance with this section and Section 906. A minimum of two, 2-A: 10-B: C portable fire extinguishers shall be provided near the doors inside dry cleaning rooms containing Type II, Type III-A and Type III-B dry cleaning systems. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Fire extinguisher is missing on 2nd floor and 1st floor has not had maintenance since 2009. Install new fire extinguishers in building. Printed on 07/24/2020 @ 15:02 Page 1 of 3 STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION FAIL 703.1 - Maintenance The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction, including, but not limited to, walls, firestops, shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive coatings and sprayed fire-resistant materials applied to structural members and fire-resistant joint systems, shall be maintained. Such elements shall be visually inspected by the owner annually and properly repaired, restored or replaced where damaged, altered, breached or penetrated. Records of inspections and repairs shall be maintained. Where concealed, such elements shall not be required to be visually inspected by the owner unless the concealed space is accessible by the removal or movement of a panel, access door, ceiling tile or similar movable entry to the space. Openings made therein for the passage of pipes, electrical conduit, wires, ducts, air transfer openings and holes made for any reason shall be protected with approved methods capable of resisting the passage of smoke and fire. Openings through fire-resistance-rated assemblies shall be protected by self- or automatic-closing doors of approved construction meeting the fire protection requirements for the assembly. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL 703.2 - Opening protectives Opening protectives shall be maintained in an operative condition in accordance with NFPA 80. Where allowed by the fire code official, the application of field-applied labels associated with the maintenance of opening protectives shall follow the requirements of the approved third-party certification organization accredited for listing the opening protective. Fire doors and smoke barrier doors shall not be blocked or obstructed, or otherwise made inoperable. Fusible links shall be replaced promptly whenever fused or damaged. Fire door assemblies shall not be modified. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Interior doors shall remain closed and not be held open. FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and multiple-station smoke alarms Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: All smoke detectors shall be in operable condition. Smoke detectors can be heard throughout the building beeping because of them needing new batteries. FAIL R1 - Unsafe Structures Is the structure found to be dangerous to the life, health, property or safety of either the public or occupants of the structure? (IPMC 108.1.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Egress path has obstruction at top of stairs. FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition?
