FAIL 1010.1.9 - Door operations Except as specifically permitted by this section, egress doors shall be readily
openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or
effort.

FAIL 1031.7 - Emergency escape
and rescue openings
Required emergency escape and rescue openings shall be maintained in accordance
with the code in effect at the time of construction, and the following: Required
emergency escape and rescue openings shall be operational from the inside of the
room without the use of keys or tools. Bars, grilles, grates or similar devices are
allowed to be placed over emergency escape and rescue openings provided the
minimum net clear opening size complies with the code that was in effect at the time
of construction and such devices shall be releasable or removable from the inside
without the use of a key, tool or force greater than that which is required for normal
operation of the emergency escape and rescue opening.

FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of
electrical hazards
Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions
in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official.
Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or
damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Extension cords in use. Electric service
grounding. Exposed wires in porch ceiling. Electric unsafe.
FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and
multiple-station smoke
alarms
Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be
installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72.

and outside of the bedrooms.

Carbon monoxide alarms shall comply with Sections 915.4.1 through 915.4.3.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: CO detectors needed in vicinity of the
bedrooms.
FAIL R1 - Unsafe Structures Is the structure found to be dangerous to the life, health, property or safety of either
the public or occupants of the structure? (IPMC 108.1.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Condition of house, egress paths, electric
wires exposed. When a structure or equipment is found to be unsafe or when a
structure is found unfit to occupy such structure shall be condemned pursuant to
the provisions of this code.
FAIL R2 - Unsafe Equipment Was the presence of unsafe equipment noted during the inspection? Equipment may
include boilers, heating equipment, elevator, moving stairways, electrical wiring, and
flammable liquid containers. (IPMC 108.1.2)

FAIL R4 - Exterior Property Areas Is the exterior property area maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition? This
includes grading and drainage, sidewalks and driveways, weeds, and pest
infestations. (IPMC 302)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Exterior treatment, windows, doors, roof,
all need attention.
FAIL R5 - Exterior Structure Is the exterior of the structure maintained in good repair, structurally sound and
sanitary state? (IPMC 304)

Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Porch & porch roof, screen door needs
replaced, kitchen floors need replaced, windows need replaced, exterior treatment
on house is rotten and falling off house, window sills are rotten and windows falling
out of openings, sanitary efforts in house need attention, holes in kitchen walls,
electric heaters in bathroom, tub surround needs replaced, mold present in
bathroom, living room ceiling needs repaired, egress path is blocked by furniture and
debris, rodents in unit. All flooring and carpet needs replaced.

Unsafe Conditions
Were any unsafe conditions noted during the interior inspection?(IPMC 305.1.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Porch, electric service, egress paths, mold.
FAIL R6.B. - Residential Heating Are dwellings provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a room
temperature of 68F? (IPMC 602.2)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Furnace needs new filter
FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working
condition? (IPMC 603.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water heater not installed to code. Water
Heater installed in porch area and cabinet is falling apart. Birds getting into
equipment. Water heater is not installed to code.
GENERAL NOTES
BARRY STRATTON - 06/17/2020 @ 14:34 9-7-4 9-7-5: Landlord license and rental registration is needed for listed address. Rental
unit has not been registered for 2019 or 2020.

health,property or safety of the public or the occupants of the structure by not
providing minimum safeguards to protect or warn occupants in the event of fire, or
because such structure contains unsafe equipment or is so damaged, decayed,
dilapidated, structurally unsafe or of such faulty construction or unstable foundation,
that partial or complete collapse is possible.

such structure is unsafe, unlawful or, because of the degree to which the structure is in
disrepair or lacks maintenance, is insanitary, vermin or rat infested, contains filth and
contamination, or lacks ventilation, illumination, sanitary or heating facilities or other
essential equipment required by this code, or because the location of the structure
constitutes a hazard to the occupants of the structure or to the public.
