FAIL 1103.9 - Carbon monoxide
alarms
Existing Group I-1, I-2, I-4 and R occupancies shall be equipped with carbon monoxide
alarms in accordance with Section 915, except that the carbon monoxide alarms shall
be allowed to be solely battery operated.

FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of
electrical hazards
Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions
in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official.
Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or
damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Electric panel missing cover. Outlets in
kitchen have open neutrals. Electric outlet missing for stove. Globes are missing on
light fixtures,
FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and
multiple-station smoke
alarms
Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be
installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Smoke detectors are needed in each
bedroom and outside of the bedrooms. Smoke detectors needed in basement and
ion each level.
FAIL 915.4 - Carbon monoxide
alarms
Carbon monoxide alarms shall comply with Sections 915.4.1 through 915.4.3.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: CO detectors needed outside of any room
used for sleeping purposes.
FAIL R1 - Unsafe Structures Is the structure found to be dangerous to the life, health, property or safety of either
the public or occupants of the structure? (IPMC 108.1.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Windows, siding, trim on window, porch
floor, doors, jambs, door hardware all need attention.

inspections, plumbing backup.

Occupancy
Is the structure found to be fit for human occupancy according to the code? (IPMC
108.1.3)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Electric hazards, water heater, no hot
water, doors off hinges, doors, jambs. House needs re-inspected.
FAIL R5 - Exterior Structure Is the exterior of the structure maintained in good repair, structurally sound and
sanitary state? (IPMC 304)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Exterior siding, windows, window trim,
flooring, & doors.
FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good
repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Screen door needs replaced. Front deck
needs new decking. Porch windows need replaced. Stove not working. Kitchen faucet
needs replaced. Kitchen ceiling needs replaced from bathroom upstairs leaking into
kitchen. Bathroom floor needs replaced from water damage.
FAIL R6.A. - Interior Structure-
Unsafe Conditions
Were any unsafe conditions noted during the interior inspection?(IPMC 305.1.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Electric issues, water heater needs
inspected, sewage issue in basement, light fixtures hanging from walls.
FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working
condition? (IPMC 603.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water heater needs inspected. Water
heater stopped functioning from water backup in basement. Need to ensure gas
valve is operating to manufactures specifications if it was damaged by water/sewage
backup
