An exit or exit passageway shall not be used for any purpose that interferes with a means of egress. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Hook locks being used on doors on porch will need to be removed. Door are blocked because furniture moved from water damage. FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of electrical hazards Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water damage to electric wiring and electric fixtures. Remove all water damaged product associated with electric system that was damaged and replace. Obtain services of a licensed electrical contractor to make electric system safe. Electric installed in new bathroom in basement does not have current permits for installation. Grounding of electric system will need to be verified. FAIL 906.1 - Where required Portable fire extinguishers shall be installed in all of the following locations: 1. In new and existing Group A, B, E, F, H, I, M, R-1, R-2, R-4 and S occupancies. Exception: In Group R-2 occupancies, portable fire extinguishers shall be required only in locations specified in Items 2 through 6 where each dwelling unit is provided with a portable fire extinguisher having a minimum rating of 1-A: 10-B: C. 2. Within 30 feet (9144 mm) of commercial cooking equipment. 3. In areas where flammable or combustible liquids are stored, used or dispensed. 4. On each floor of structures under construction, except Group R-3 occupancies, in accordance with Section 3315.1. 5. Where required by the sections indicated in Table 906.1. 6. Special-hazard areas, including but not limited to laboratories, computer rooms and generator rooms, where required by the fire code official. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Smoke detectors are needed in EACH bedroom and outside of EACH bedroom. FAIL R1 - Unsafe Structures Is the structure found to be dangerous to the life, health, property or safety of either the public or occupants of the structure? (IPMC 108.1.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL R2 - Unsafe Equipment Was the presence of unsafe equipment noted during the inspection? Equipment may include boilers, heating equipment, elevator, moving stairways, electrical wiring, and flammable liquid containers. (IPMC 108.1.2) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL R3 - Unfit for Human Occupancy Is the structure found to be fit for human occupancy according to the code? (IPMC 108.1.3) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Currently with water running into electric fixtures it is dangerous to the occupants. Electric shock may occur. Have electrician check and make electric system safe. FAIL R5 - Exterior Structure Is the exterior of the structure maintained in good repair, structurally sound and sanitary state? (IPMC 304) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Roof not installed on house. Roof leaking into inside on all levels of house. All areas of ceilings & walls that have been damaged will need removed and replaced. All areas will need water & mold mitigation. FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water damage throughout house from the roof leaking. Water on every level of house. Water damage in light fixtures. Handrails needed to upstairs. Porch has water damage from roof leak and windows leaking. Basement foundation is leaking between house and crawl space. FAIL R6.A. - Interior Structure- Unsafe Conditions Were any unsafe conditions noted during the interior inspection?(IPMC 305.1.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water running out of electric fixtures from roof leak.
