Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Front door has broken windows and screen door is broken and needs replaced. FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of electrical hazards Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Kitchen outlets are not grounded. Multi plug adapters in use and need to be removed because they are not allowed. FAIL 906.1 - Where required Portable fire extinguishers shall be installed in all of the following locations: 1. In new and existing Group A, B, E, F, H, I, M, R-1, R-2, R-4 and S occupancies. Exception: In Group R-2 occupancies, portable fire extinguishers shall be required only in locations specified in Items 2 through 6 where each dwelling unit is provided with a portable fire extinguisher having a minimum rating of 1-A: 10-B: C. 2. Within 30 feet (9144 mm) of commercial cooking equipment. 3. In areas where flammable or combustible liquids are stored, used or dispensed. 4. On each floor of structures under construction, except Group R-3 occupancies, in accordance with Section 3315.1. 5. Where required by the sections indicated in Table 906.1. 6. Special-hazard areas, including but not limited to laboratories, computer rooms and generator rooms, where required by the fire code official. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Need a fire extinguisher in unit. Printed on 07/24/2020 @ 16:10 Page 1 of 3 STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION FAIL 907.2.11.2 - Groups R-2, R-3, R-4 and I-1 Single or multiple-station smoke alarms shall be installed and maintained in Groups R-2, R-3, R-4 and I-1 regardless of occupant load at all of the following locations: 1. On the ceiling or wall outside of each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of bedrooms. 2. In each room used for sleeping purposes. 3. In each story within a dwelling unit, including basements but not including crawl spaces and uninhabitable attics. In dwellings or dwelling units with split levels and without an intervening door between the adjacent levels, a smoke alarm installed on the upper level shall suffice for the adjacent lower level provided that the lower level is less than one full story below the upper level. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: All smoke detectors need to be in working condition. FAIL R2 - Unsafe Equipment Was the presence of unsafe equipment noted during the inspection? Equipment may include boilers, heating equipment, elevator, moving stairways, electrical wiring, and flammable liquid containers. (IPMC 108.1.2) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water heater is missing discharge tube. Water heater installed did not have proper permits & inspections. FAIL R4 - Exterior Property Areas Is the exterior property area maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition? This includes grading and drainage, sidewalks and driveways, weeds, and pest infestations. (IPMC 302) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Guard railing around front porch is broken and needs replaced. Weeds and garbage. FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Need handrails to basement. Floor at rear door is unstable and needs replaced. Water in basement needs attention. Drain backed up in basement. Kitchen walls have holes in walls and need fixed. Door trim missing on door to dining room and needs replaced. Thermostat needs replaced. Repair all broken glass that is broken. FAIL R6.A. - Interior Structure- Unsafe Conditions Were any unsafe conditions noted during the interior inspection?(IPMC 305.1.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Plumbing backup in basement. FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working condition? (IPMC 603.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water heater missing discharge tube. Bathtub leaking into basement. Every laundry area shall contain not less than one grounding-type receptacle or a receptacle with a GFCI. Every bathroom shall contain not less than one receptacle. Any new bathroom receptacle shall have GFCI protection. All receptacles shall have the appropriate faceplate cover. (IPMC 605.2) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Electric system has grounding issues that need corrected.
