Aisles or aisle accessways shall be provided from all occupied portions of the exit access that contain seats, tables, furnishings, displays and similar fixtures or equipment. The minimum width or required capacity of aisles shall be unobstructed. Exception: Encroachments complying with Section 1005.7. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL 1103.9 - Carbon monoxide alarms Existing Group I-1, I-2, I-4 and R occupancies shall be equipped with carbon monoxide alarms in accordance with Section 915, except that the carbon monoxide alarms shall be allowed to be solely battery operated. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: CO detectors are needed in vicinity of the bedrooms. This shall be done before renting duplex. FAIL 5808.3.2 - Windows Operable windows in interior walls shall not be permitted. Fixed windows shall be permitted where in accordance with Section 716 of the International Building Code. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Windows that are nailed shut will need to be operable before duplex is rented. FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of electrical hazards Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Outlets covers will need to be in place on all outlets. Electric panel will need to be checked. All lights will need globes in place. Have duplex inspected before renting. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only with portable appliances. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and multiple-station smoke alarms Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Smoke detectors are needed in each bedroom and outside of the bedrooms. Smoke detector is also needed in basement. Have detectors in place and inspected before unit is rented. FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Peeling paint will need corrected before renting duplex. FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working condition? (IPMC 603.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water heater not installed to code. Draft hood fall and no discharge tube on water heater. Contact licensed contractor to make corrections. FAIL R6.D. - Receptacles Every habitable space in a dwelling shall contain not less than two separate and remote receptacle outlets. Every laundry area shall contain not less than one grounding-type receptacle or a receptacle with a GFCI. Every bathroom shall contain not less than one receptacle. Any new bathroom receptacle shall have GFCI protection. All receptacles shall have the appropriate faceplate cover. (IPMC 605.2) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: All outlets and switches will need approved covers. GENERAL NOTES BARRY STRATTON - 10/01/2019 @ 10:41 All doors shall have approved hardware adn shall be maintained in good condition. Locks shall tightly secure the doors. All doors shall secure door tightly in jambs. Service in sa structure that constitutes a hazard to the occupants because of inadequate service shall be corrected to eliminate the hazard. IPMC 604.3 BARRY STRATTON - 10/01/2019 @ 10:45 Water heater is not installed to code. Draft hood flue does not have proper fall. Need discharge tube on water heater. Plumbing to bath tub not installed to code No hot water and faucet needs replaced. IPMC 504 BARRY STRATTON - 10/01/2019 @ 10:45 Mice and cockroach infestation needs exterminated.
