STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 1010.1.9 - Door operations Except as specifically permitted by this section, egress doors shall be readily
openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or
effort.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Repair all broken hinges.
FAIL 1031.2 - Reliability Required exit accesses, exits and exit discharges shall be continuously maintained
free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other
emergency where the building area served by the means of egress is occupied. An
exit or exit passageway shall not be used for any purpose that interferes with a
means of egress.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Remove all debris from hallways.
FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of
electrical hazards
Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions
in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official.
Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or
damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: All fixtures shall be maintained free from
defects. Sockets bent in fixtures.
FAIL 703.2 - Opening protectives Opening protectives shall be maintained in an operative condition in accordance with
NFPA 80. Where allowed by the fire code official, the application of field-applied labels
associated with the maintenance of opening protectives shall follow the
requirements of the approved third-party certification organization accredited for
listing the opening protective. Fire doors and smoke barrier doors shall not be
blocked or obstructed, or otherwise made inoperable. Fusible links shall be replaced
promptly whenever fused or damaged. Fire door assemblies shall not be modified.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Fire doors hardware to include door hinges
shall be maintained in operable condition. Hinges broken and doors held open.

FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and
multiple-station smoke
alarms
Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be
installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Smoke detectors shall be in working
condition in building and all apartments.
FAIL R5 - Exterior Structure Is the exterior of the structure maintained in good repair, structurally sound and
sanitary state? (IPMC 304)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Handrails on front stairs missing
terminations on top & bottom of handrail.
FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good
repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Terrible odor in side of building. Where
irritation or noxious fumes are generated they shall be abated. Carpet is not
maintained in a sanitary condition.

FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working
condition? (IPMC 603.1)
