Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Doors shall be maintained in good condition and capable of performing their intended function. FAIL 1103.9 - Carbon monoxide alarms Existing Group I-1, I-2, I-4 and R occupancies shall be equipped with carbon monoxide alarms in accordance with Section 915, except that the carbon monoxide alarms shall be allowed to be solely battery operated. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of electrical hazards Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Outlets not grounded throughout house, Outlets not working, garage opener running off extension cord. Freezer running off extension cord. Several outlets and switches do not have approved covers. Open boxes in house with exposed wires. Lights hanging by wires in basement. Water in light fixture in living room from potential leak in roof. FAIL 906.1 - Where required Portable fire extinguishers shall be installed in all of the following locations: 1. In new and existing Group A, B, E, F, H, I, M, R-1, R-2, R-4 and S occupancies. Exception: In Group R-2 occupancies, portable fire extinguishers shall be required only in locations specified in Items 2 through 6 where each dwelling unit is provided with a portable fire extinguisher having a minimum rating of 1-A: 10-B: C. 2. Within 30 feet (9144 mm) of commercial cooking equipment. 3. In areas where flammable or combustible liquids are stored, used or dispensed. 4. On each floor of structures under construction, except Group R-3 occupancies, in accordance with Section 3315.1. 5. Where required by the sections indicated in Table 906.1. 6. Special-hazard areas, including but not limited to laboratories, computer rooms and generator rooms, where required by the fire code official. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Smoke detectors needed in each bedroom and outside of the bedrooms. Smoke detectors is also needed in basement. FAIL 915.4 - Carbon monoxide alarms Carbon monoxide alarms shall comply with Sections 915.4.1 through 915.4.3. Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: CO detectors needed in vicinity of the bedrooms. FAIL R1 - Unsafe Structures Is the structure found to be dangerous to the life, health, property or safety of either the public or occupants of the structure? (IPMC 108.1.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water leaks in basement and electric issues. Back deck needs replaced. FAIL R2 - Unsafe Equipment Was the presence of unsafe equipment noted during the inspection? Equipment may include boilers, heating equipment, elevator, moving stairways, electrical wiring, and flammable liquid containers. (IPMC 108.1.2) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Furnace and water heater & electric issues. FAIL R3 - Unfit for Human Occupancy Is the structure found to be fit for human occupancy according to the code? (IPMC 108.1.3) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: FAIL R4 - Exterior Property Areas Is the exterior property area maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition? This includes grading and drainage, sidewalks and driveways, weeds, and pest infestations. (IPMC 302) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Back deck and roof need replaced. FAIL R5 - Exterior Structure Is the exterior of the structure maintained in good repair, structurally sound and sanitary state? (IPMC 304) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Roof and deck. FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? Water damage in basement from leaking pipes. Potential for mold to form because of the water damage. FAIL R6.A. - Interior Structure- Unsafe Conditions Were any unsafe conditions noted during the interior inspection?(IPMC 305.1.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Electrical issues, water heater draft hood, furnace not working, Water pipes leaking in basement & water damage from leaking pipes. FAIL R6.B. - Residential Heating Are dwellings provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a room temperature of 68F? (IPMC 602.2) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Furnace not working. Contact licensed contractor to repair/replace. FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working condition? (IPMC 603.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Draft hood on water heater not drawing air into hood. Draft hood is mis-aligned and gives potential for CO gas to discharge into house. Contact licensed contractor to do repairs. FAIL R6.D. - Receptacles Every habitable space in a dwelling shall contain not less than two separate and remote receptacle outlets. Every laundry area shall contain not less than one grounding-type receptacle or a receptacle with a GFCI. Every bathroom shall contain not less than one receptacle. Any new bathroom receptacle shall have GFCI protection. All receptacles shall have the appropriate faceplate cover.
