STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 505.1 - Address identification New and existing buildings shall be provided with approved address identification.
The address identification shall be legible and placed in a position that is visible from
the street or road fronting the property. Address identification characters shall
contrast with their background. Address numbers shall be Arabic numbers or
alphabetical letters. Numbers shall not be spelled out. Each character shall be not
less than 4 inches (102 mm) high with a minimum stroke width of 1/2 (12.7 mm).
Where required by the fire code official, address identification shall be provided in
additional approved locations to facilitate emergency response. Where access is by
means of a private road and the building cannot be viewed from the public way, a
monument, pole or other sign or means shall be used to identify the structure.
Address identification shall be maintained.

FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and
multiple-station smoke
alarms
Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be
installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Need smoke detectors in each bedroom,
outside of the bedrooms, and in basement.
FAIL 915.4 - Carbon monoxide
alarms
Carbon monoxide alarms shall comply with Sections 915.4.1 through 915.4.3.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: CO detectors needed in vicinity of the
bedrooms.
FAIL R3 - Unfit for Human
Occupancy
Is the structure found to be fit for human occupancy according to the code? (IPMC
108.1.3)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Raw sewage backup in basement.
FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good
repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305)

Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Sewer backed up in basement. Bathroom
sink and bathtub not draining. All fixtures shall be properly installed and maintained
in working order, and shall be kept free from obstructions, leaks, and defects and be
capable of performing the function for which fixtures are designed. Where it is found
that a system in a structure constitutes a hazard to the occupants the defect shall be
corrected.

Unsafe Conditions

FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working
condition? (IPMC 603.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Sewer back up in basement can affect
water heater & furnace operation. Check equipment to ensure they are functioning
to manufactures specifications.
