FAIL 1103.9 - Carbon monoxide
alarms
Existing Group I-1, I-2, I-4 and R occupancies shall be equipped with carbon monoxide
alarms in accordance with Section 915, except that the carbon monoxide alarms shall
be allowed to be solely battery operated.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: CO detectors needed in vicinity of the
bedrooms.
FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of
electrical hazards
Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions
in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official.
Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or
damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used.

FAIL 907.2.11 - Single- and
multiple-station smoke
alarms
Listed single- and multiple- station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be
installed in accordance with Sections 907.2.11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Smoke detectors needed in each bedroom
and outside of the bedrooms. Smoke detectors needed in basement.
FAIL R4 - Exterior Property Areas Is the exterior property area maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition? This
includes grading and drainage, sidewalks and driveways, weeds, and pest
infestations. (IPMC 302)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Windows shall be capable of being opened
and closed and also have screens.
FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good
repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Peeling paint, ceiling in living room with
water damage, cracked plaster in basement entryway, carpet in upstairs with urine
smell, and updated rental registration. 9-7-4 9-7-5 Dead bolt for security on front
door needs replaced.
