STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 1010.1.9 - Door operations Except as specifically permitted by this section, egress doors shall be readily
openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or
effort.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Bedroom door has a dead-bolt lock on
inside of the door that needs removed.
FAIL 105.6 - Required operational
permits
The fire code official is authorized to issue operational permits for the operations set
forth in Sections 105.6.1 through 105.6.48.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: No construction permits obtained for walls
built in basement. Construction material not rated for ground contact.
FAIL 605.1 - Abatement of
electrical hazards
Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions
in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official.
Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or
damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Single gang box in basement ceiling not
attached to joist. Globes required on light fixtures. Outlet covers needed on all
outlets. Romex in basement not stapled to code. Outlet pulled away from wall in
basement.
FAIL R2 - Unsafe Equipment Was the presence of unsafe equipment noted during the inspection? Equipment may
include boilers, heating equipment, elevator, moving stairways, electrical wiring, and
flammable liquid containers. (IPMC 108.1.2)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Electric issues in basement.
FAIL R4 - Exterior Property Areas Is the exterior property area maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition? This
includes grading and drainage, sidewalks and driveways, weeds, and pest
infestations. (IPMC 302)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Garage doors and broken windows in
garage.

FAIL R5 - Exterior Structure Is the exterior of the structure maintained in good repair, structurally sound and
sanitary state? (IPMC 304)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Gutters/downspouts missing on house.
FAIL R6 - Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good
repair, structurally sound, and in a sanitary condition? (IPMC 305)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Front stairs to front door not to code. NO
handrail on front stairs. Rise/run not to code. Screen door no shock on door on front
screen door, Rear screen door will not latch. Back door weatherization and missing
brick mold on door. All doors interior/exterior need approved door hardware. Need
handrail on stairs to landing at rear door. Windows in front room do not close
completely. All windows shall close and latch and be capable of keep out cold air.
Need to install tub seal around tub. Need floor molding installed in bathroom. Bath
sink not attached to wall securely and currently can be pulled off wall.
FAIL R6.A. - Interior Structure-
Unsafe Conditions
Were any unsafe conditions noted during the interior inspection?(IPMC 305.1.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Electric issues.
FAIL R6.B. - Residential Heating Are dwellings provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a room
temperature of 68F? (IPMC 602.2)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Front room not capable of keep 68 degrees.
FAIL R6.C. - Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working
condition? (IPMC 603.1)
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON - Comments: Water heater missing cover. Refrigerator
leveling feet broken. Stove missing burners and oven handle. Fire place needs to be
checked. Exhaust fan in bathroom needs replaced. Dryer does not exhaust to the
exterior of the house. Washing machine needs drain stack installed so washer can
drain.
GENERAL NOTES
BARRY STRATTON - 11/15/2019 @ 12:26 9-7-4 9-7-5 Landlord license and rental registration required for all rental units
annually. Currently rental unit occupied with out rental certificate.
