RESOLUTION NO. 2020-541 RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM CHARLES PEARSON, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CEDAR VALLEY AFRICAN AMERICAN HERITAGE AND MUSIC FESTIVAL TO BE HELD AT THE AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM AND CULTURAL CENTER, LOCATED AT 1320 E. 4TH STREET, ON SEPTEMBER 5, 2020, FROM 9:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M., INCLUDING A P.A. SYSTEM WITH SPEAKING PRESENTATIONS AND FOUR LIVE BANDS PERFORMING BETWEEN 11:00 A.M. AND 4:00 P.M. WHEREAS, the Charles Pearson has requested to hold the Cedar Valley African American Heritage and Music Festival at the African American Museum and Cultural Center, located at 1320 E. 4th Street on September 5, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., along with four live bands, performing between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and use of a PA system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Charles Pearson to hold to hold the Cedar Valley African American Heritage and Music Festival at the African American Museum and Cultural Center, located at 1320 E. 4th Street on September 5, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., along with four live bands, performing between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and use of a PA system, is hereby approved.
