RESOLUTION NO. 2020-542
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD BID TO KW
ELECTRIC, OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$369,940.70, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS,
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE WEST RIDGEWAY AVENUE AT GREYHOUND
DRIVE TRAFFIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT,
IOWA DOT GRANT PROJECT NUMBER CS-TSF-8155(762)--
85-07, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, KW Electric, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$369,940.70, written contract, bond and certificate of insurance per the specifications heretofore
adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2020-513, after public hearing on
July 13, 2020, in conjunction with the West Ridgeway Avenue at Greyhound Drive Traffic
Safety Improvements Project, Iowa DOT grant project number CS-TSF-8155(762)--85-07, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of KW Electric, in the amount of $369,940.70, in conjunction with
the West Ridgeway Avenue at Greyhound Drive Traffic Safety Improvements Project,
Iowa DOT grant project number CS-TSF-8155(762)--85-07, is hereby accepted.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by KW Electric, in
the amount of $369,940.70, in conjunction with the West Ridgeway Avenue at
Greyhound Drive Traffic Safety Improvements Project, Iowa DOT grant project number
CS-TSF-8155(762)--85-07, are hereby approved.
That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July 2020.
