RESOLUTION NO. 2012-476
RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO
HAWKEYE ENVIRONMENTAL OF SOLON, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $2,475.00, AND APPROVING CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH ASBESTOS SURVEY SERVICES FOR
THE FOLLOWING PROPERTIES: 820 AND 910
SYCAMORE STREETS, 626-628 W. 9TH STREET AND
1518 W. 4TH STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bond and Certificate of Insurance with
Hawkeye Environmental of Solon, Iowa, in the amount of $2,475.00,
in conjunction with Asbestos Survey Services for the following
properties: 820 and 910 Sycamore Streets, 626-628 W. 9th Street
and 1518 W. 4th Street, described in the plans and specifications
heretofore adopted by this Council for said project in Resolution
No. 2012-82, after public hearing on January 30, 2012 on
published notice required by law, be and is hereby accepted, the
same being the lowest bid received for said work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of May, 2012.
