RESOLUTION NO. 2020-584
RESOLUTION APPROVING ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY
GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS SUMMIT SOFTBALL FIELDS
FROM WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOLS, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Community Schools of Waterloo, Iowa is the owner of real
property generally described as Summit Softball Fields in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and legally
described as follows:
AUDITOR RAINBOWS WEST SIDE PLAT LOT 25
AND
AUDITOR RAINBOWS WEST SIDE PLAT ALL LOT 26 EXCEPT EAST
108.5 FEET SOUTH 115 FEET
AND
TEETERS ADDITION LOT 12 BLOCK 1
AND
TEETERS ADDITION LOTS 1 THRU 12 BLOCK 4
and,
WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said parcel of real property, in the amount of $1.00 has
been made by the City of Waterloo, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that the acquisition of said property should
be made as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the offer to purchase real property, generally described as Summit Softball Fields,
from Waterloo Community Schools in the amount of $1.00, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August 2020.
