RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS AUGUST 13, 2020 AND DATE
OF PUBLIC HEARING AS AUGUST 17, 2020, FOR
ASBESTOS SURVEY SERVICES AT 915 LINDEN AVENUE,
725 GLENWOOD AVENUE, 123 E. PARKER STREET, 114 E.
10TH STREET, 105 EAST 11TH STREET, 413 WELLINGTON
STREET, 409 WELLINGTON STREET, 663 KERN STREET,
AND 214 COTTAGE STREET, AND INSTRUCT CITY CLERK
TO PUBLISH SAID NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, etc., in
conjunction with asbestos survey services at 915 Linden Avenue, 725 Glenwood Avenue, 123 E.
Parker Street, 114 E. 10th Street, 105 East 11th Street, 413 Wellington Street, 409 Wellington
Street, 663 Kern Street, and 214 Cottage Street, are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the bid opening, in conjunction with asbestos survey services at 915
Linden Avenue, 725 Glenwood Avenue, 123 E. Parker Street, 114 E. 10th Street, 105 East
11th Street, 413 Wellington Street, 409 Wellington Street, 663 Kern Street, and 214 Cottage
Street, be scheduled for August 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa.
Section 3. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th day of August 2020, to
hold a public hearing, in conjunction with asbestos survey services at 915 Linden Avenue, 725
Glenwood Avenue, 123 E. Parker Street, 114 E. 10th Street, 105 East 1lth Street, 413 Wellington
Street, 409 Wellington Street, 663 Kern Street, and 214 Cottage Street.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
