RESOLUTION NO.2020-285 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1804 E. 4TH STREET, TO GOLDFINCH S&M PROPERTIES, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa is the owner of real property located at 1804 E. 4th Street in the City of Waterloo,Iowa,as described below, and WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said parcel of real property, in the amount of$5,000 has been made by Goldfinch Properties, LLC, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 27, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo,Iowa,to Goldfinch Properties, LLC, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that the sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The real property located at 1804 E. 4th Street, as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on April 17, 2020,is not presently needed,and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes, and its ownership is serving no municipal purpose. 2. That the offer of Goldfinch Properties, LLC, to purchase property located at 1804 E. 4th Street, for the sum of$5,000, is hereby accepted for the real property legally described as follows: THE WEST 96 FEET OF LOT 1, BLOCK 6, "MANSON'S SECOND ADDITION" IN WATERLOO, IOWA, A/K/A LOT 1, EXCEPT THE EAST 44 FEET, OF BLOCK 6, MANSON'S SECOND ADDITION IN WATERLOO, IOWA. AND THE SOUTH 30 FEET OF LOT 2, BLOCK 6, IN "MANSON'S SECOND ADDITION"IN WATERLOO, IOWA. 3. That the City of Waterloo, Iowa conveys said parcel of real property to Goldfinch Properties,LLC,by quit claim deed. 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said deed. 5.
