RESOLUTION NO. 2020-606
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BAKER
ENTERPRISES, INC., OF WAVERLY, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $869,439, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2020 WARP DRIVE RISE
PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 977, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Baker Enterprises, Inc., of Waverly, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$869,439, in conjunction with the FY 2020 Warp Drive RISE Project, Contract No. 977, and is
the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Baker Enterprises, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2020-512, after public hearing on June 13, 2020, in conjunction with the
FY 2020 Warp Drive RISE Project, Contract No. 977.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Baker Enterprises, Inc., in the amount of $869,439, in conjunction with
the FY 2020 Warp Drive RISE Project, Contract No. 977, is hereby awarded to Baker
Enterprises, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Baker Enterprises, Inc.,
in conjunction with FY 2020 Warp Drive RISE Project, Contract No. 977, are hereby
approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August 2020.
