RESOLUTION NO. 2020-613 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DEED FOR A HOME LOCATED AT 219 NEWELL STREET FROM HAWKEYE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $135,000, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PROJECT ADDENDUM AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE HOME, APPROVED ON OCTOBER 16, 2017, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo previously approved a Project Addendum Agreement on October 16, 2017, with Hawkeye Community College, for home construction in the 200 block of Newell Street, and WHEREAS, a residential home was constructed by Hawkeye Community College at 219 Newell Street and legally described as follows: MANSON'S SECOND ADDITION LOT 13 BLOCK 1, CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. and, WHEREAS, in accordance with said agreement, the City of Waterloo will accept a deed from Hawkeye Community College for the property located at 219 Newell Street in exchange for $135,000. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the deed from Hawkeye Community College for property generally described as 219 Newell Street in exchange for $135,000, is hereby accepted, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute said document on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
