RESOLUTION NO. 2007-114
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
VACATION, SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF
THE ALLEY GENERALLY LOCATED ADJACENT TO LOTS
1 THROUGH 5 AND LOTS 24 THROUGH 25 IN BLOCK 1
OF NORTH WATERLOO PLACE TO NM DEVELOPMENT LC
AS FEBRUARY 26, 2007, AT 5 : 30 P.M. IN CITY
HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA AND
INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 5: 30 p.m. on the 26th day of February, 2007, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate a
portion of the alley generally located adjacent to Lots 1 through
5 and Lots 24 through 25 in Block 1 of North Waterloo Place to NM
Development LC, and legally described as follows :
Alley Vacation
That part of the public alley as platted in Block One
(1) , North Waterloo Place in the City of Waterloo, Iowa
lying Northerly of a line drawn between the Southeast
corner of Lot Five (5) and the Southwest corner of Lot
Twenty (20) in said Block One (1) ; and lying Southerly
of a line drawn between the Northeast corner of Lot One
(1) and the Northwest corner of Lot Twenty-four (24) in
said Block One (1) , all in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa;
And also; to sell and convey to NM Development LC property
generally located adjacent to Lots 1 through 5 and Lots 24 through
25 in Block 1 of North Waterloo Place, described as follows:
Alley Conveyance
That part of the vacated alley as platted in Block One
(1) , North Waterloo Place in the City of Waterloo, Iowa
lying Northerly of a line drawn between the Southeast
corner of Lot Five (5) and the Southwest corner of Lot
Twenty (20) in said Block One (1) ; and lying Southerly
of a line drawn between the Northeast corner of Lot One
(1) and the Northwest corner of Lot Twenty-four (24) in
said Block One (1) , all in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa;
for $1 . 00, plus costs .
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
