RESOLUTION NO. 2007-99
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF IOWA
WIRELESS FOR A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE -
NN SHOPPING CENTER COMMERCIAL DISTRICT FOR
PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT 351 FLETCHER
AVENUE TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF AN 80'
MONOPOLE CELLULAR TOWER WITH EQUIPMENT ON
PROPERTY OWNED BY THE WATERLOO-CEDAR FALLS
BOARD OF REALTORS IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a site plan amendment to the "S-1"
Shopping Center Commercial District for property generally
located at 351 Fletcher Avenue to allow construction of an 80'
monopole cellular tower with equipment on property owned by the
Waterloo-Cedar Falls Board of Realtors, legally described as
follows :
Part of Lots 49 and 53 in Auditor Francis West side
plat in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Beginning at a point 120 feet North and 180 feet East
of the Southwest corner of Lot 49, thence North 180
feet; thence East to a point 10 feet West of the East
line of Lot 49 and 300 feet North of the South line of
Lot 49; thence South 180 feet; thence West 171 . 95 feet
to the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 12, 2007, at
5: 30 p.m. , at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
Provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the proposal to approve said above mentioned site plan amendment,
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site
plan amendment should be approved .as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a site plan amendment to the "S-1"
Shopping Center Commercial District for property generally
located at 351 Fletcher Avenue to allow construction of an 80'
monopole cellular tower with equipment on property owned by the
Waterloo-Cedar Falls Board of Realtors, be and the same is hereby
approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of February, 2007 .
