RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF VJ
ENGINEERING ON BEHALF OF MENARD INC. TO
REZONE FROM "R-2" ONE AND TWO FAMILY
RESIDENCE DISTRICT AND "C-2" COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT TO "C-P" PLANNED COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
APPROXIMATELY 36 ACRES OF PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED JUST NORTH OF LOGAN PLAZA SHOPPING
CENTER, GOING UP TO RALSTON ROAD AND SPANNING
FROM HIGHWAY 63 TO EAST 4TH STREET, AS
FEBRUARY 12, 2007, AT 5 : 30 P.M. IN THE
COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 12th day of February, 2007,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon an application of
VJ Engineering on behalf of Menard Inc. to rezone from "R-2" One
and Two Family Residence District and "C-2" Commercial District
to "C-P" Planned Commercial District approximately 36 acres of
property generally located just north of Logan Plaza Shopping
Center going up to Ralston Road and spanning from Highway 63 to
East 4 Street and legally described as follows :
All that part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 12, Township 89 North, Range 13 West
of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, described as follows :
Commencing at the Southeast Quarter of said Southwest
of the Southwest 1�4; thence North 0054120" West along
the East line of said Southwest 1-4 of the Southwest :�-4 a
distance of 33 . 00 feet to the North right of way of
Donald Street; thence North 89055115" West a distance
of 33 . 00 feet to the West right of way of East 4th
Street and the Southeast corner of Parcel "F" (recorded

feet along the said West right of way to the Northeast
