RESOLUTION NO. 2020-704
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO CARDINAL CONSTRUCTION
INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,516,300, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE WATERLOO FIVE SULLIVAN
BROTHER CONVENTION CENTER ADDITION AND LOBBY
RENOVATION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Cardinal Construction Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in
conjunction with the Waterloo Five Sullivan Brother Convention Center Addition and Lobby
Renovation Project, in the amount of $5,516,300, and is the apparent low bidder.
WHEREAS, Cardinal Construction Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Cardinal Construction Inc., in the amount of $5,516,300, in
conjunction with the Waterloo Five Sullivan Brother Convention Center Addition and Lobby
Renovation Project, is hereby accepted and awarded to Cardinal Construction, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Cardinal
Construction Inc., in the amount of $5,516,300, in conjunction with the Waterloo Five Sullivan
Brother Convention Center Addition and Lobby Renovation Project, are hereby approved, and
the Mayor and City clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of September 2020.
