RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST FROM MODERN DESIGN
ON BEHALF OF IMAGE POINTE APPEALING THE DECISION OF
THE CITY ENGINEER CONCERNING APPEALING CITY CODE
SECTION 7-1-4(C), TO ALLOW FOR AN EXTENDED CURB CUT OF
CORNWALL AVENUE, ADJACENT TO 1224 LA PORTE ROAD.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
WHEREAS, Modern Design, on behalf of Image Point, has made written application to
the City Council appealing City Code, Section 7-1-4(C), concerning an extended curb cut of
Cornwall Avenue, adjacent to 1224 La Porte Road, and legally described as follows:

to allow for 8 reverse angled parking stalls along the north side of the building located at 1224
La Porte Road, adjacent to Cornwall Avenue.
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that the request
of Modern Design, on behalf of Image Point, appealing City Code, Section 7-1-4(C), concerning
the allowance of an extended curb cut on Cornwall Avenue to allow for 8 reverse angled parking
stalls, at the private business located at 1224 La Porte Road, be approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of September 2020.
