RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM QUOVADIS MARSHALL, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH A 5-YEAR ANNIVERSARY CHURCH
CELEBRATION TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 13, 2020, FROM
10:30 A.M. TO NOON, ON 15.3 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED
AT IDAHO AND VINE STREETS, INCLUDING LIVE MUSIC
AND USE OF A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Quovadis Marshall on behalf of Hope City Church, is requesting a variance
to the Noise Ordinance on September 13, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in conjunction
with the five-year anniversary celebration, located at Idaho and Vine Streets, including music,
and the use of a P.A. System, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Quovadis Marshall, on behalf of Hope City Church, for
a variance to the Noise Ordinance, on September 13, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in
conjunction with the five-year anniversary celebration located at Idaho and Vine Streets,
including music and the use of a P.A. system, be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of September 2020.
