RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM PASTOR GILBERT L. CLAY,
SR., IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUTDOOR CHURCH
SERVICES TO BE HELD EACH SUNDAY IN SEPTEMBER
2020, FROM 11:30 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M., AT 1924 SAGER
AVENUE, INCLUDING LIVE MUSIC AND USE OF A PA
SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Pastor Gilbert L. Clay, Sr., is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance
each Sunday in September 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in conjunction with outdoor church
services, located at 1924 Sager Avenue, including music, and the use of a P.A. System, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Pastor Gilbert L. Clay, Sr., for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance, on each Sunday in September 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in conjunction with
outdoor church services, located at 1924 Sager Avenue, including music and the use of a P.A.
system, be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of September 2020.
