RESOLUTION AWARDING ASBESTOS SURVEY SERVICES BID
TO ASBESTOS INSPECTIONS, TESTING AND TRAINING, INC.,
OF MONTICELLO, IOWA, IN CONJUNCTION WITH ASBESTOS
SURVEYS OF 915 LINDEN AVENUE, 725 GLENWOOD AVENUE,
123 E. PARKER STREET, 114 E. 10TH STREET, 105 E. 11 TH
STREET, 413 WELLINGTON STREET, 409 WELLINGTON STREET,
663 KERN STREET, AND 214 COTTAGE STREET, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $3,700, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Asbestos Inspections, Testing and Training, Inc., of Monticello, Iowa,
submitted a bid in conjunction with asbestos surveys of 915 Linden Avenue, 725 Glenwood
Avenue, 123 E. Parker Street, 114 E. l0th Street, 105 E. 1 lth Street, 413 Wellington Street, 409
Wellington Street, 663 Kern Street, and 214 Cottage Street, in the amount of $19,877, and is the
apparent low bidder.
WHEREAS, Asbestos Inspections, Testing and Training, Inc., submitted a written
contract, bond and certificate of insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with said
survey services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Asbestos Inspections, Testing and Training, Inc., in the amount of $3,700,
in conjunction with asbestos surveys of 915 Linden Avenue, 725 Glenwood Avenue, 123 E.
Parker Street, 114 E. l0th Street, 105 E. 1 lth Street, 413 Wellington Street, 409 Wellington
Street, 663 Kern Street, and 214 Cottage Street, is hereby accepted and awarded to Asbestos
Inspections, Testing and Training, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Asbestos Inspections,
Testing and Training, Inc., in the amount of $3,700, in conjunction with asbestos surveys of 915
Linden Avenue, 725 Glenwood Avenue, 123 E. Parker Street, 114 E. l0th Street, 105 E. l lth
Street, 413 Wellington Street, 409 Wellington Street, 663 Kern Street, and 214 Cottage Street, is
hereby approved, and the Mayor and City clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents.
