RESOLUTION NO. 2007-41
RESOLUTION APPROVING MINOR SITE PLAN
AMENDMENT TO THE "M-21 P" PLANNED INDUSTRIAL
DISTRICT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A 11, 000 SQUARE
FOOT ADDITION TO THE EXISTING BPI PRODUCTION
FACILITY WITHIN THE TYSON FOODS FACILITY
GENERALLY LOCATED OFF N. ELK RUN ROAD, JUST
NORTH OF MLK JR. DRIVE.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a minor Site Plan Amendment to the "M-
2, P" Planned Industrial District for construction of a 11, 000
square foot addition to the existing BPI production facility
within the Tyson Foods facility generally located off N. Elk Run
Road, just north of MLK Jr. Drive, legally described as follows :
The Southeast li of the Northeast 1�4 excluding the East
60 feet for road of Section 21, Township 89 North,
Range 12 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. And also,
the Northeast 1�4 of the Northeast 'i lying southerly of
the railroad and excluding the East 60 feet for road of
Section 21, Township 89 North, Range 12 West of the 5th
Principal Meridian, all in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, due to the insignificant nature of said minor Site
Plan Amendment, the Council did not deem it necessary to hold a
public hearing, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said minor
Site Plan Amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the minor Site Plan Amendment to the
"M-2, P" Planned Industrial District for construction of a 11, 000
square foot addition to the existing BPI production facility
within the Tyson Foods facility generally located off N. Elk Run
Road, just north of MLK Jr. Drive, be and the same is hereby
approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of January, 2007, and
approved by the Mayor this 18th day of January, 2007 .
