WATERLOO CITY COUNCIL AS AN
ORDINANCE APPROVING THE
AMENDMENT OF THE SAN MARNAN
URBAN RENEWAL AND REDEVELOP-
MENT PLAN AREA TAX INCREMENT
FINANCING DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF
WATERLOO TO ADD CERTAIN LANDS
THERETO
This is a summary of the ordinance
approving an amendment of the San
Martian Urban Renewal and Redevelop-
ment Plan Area Tax Increment Financing
District ("rfF District") in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa(referred to below as the
"Ordinance'):
The general purpose of this Ordinance is
to amend the TIF District to add multiple
areas to the existing TIF District, which
has been determined to be an economic
development TIF district in which the City
may provide financial incentives for
development within the TIF District
boundaries as provided in Chapter 403 of
the Code of Iowa.The urban renewal plan
pertaining to the TIF District,as amended,
is on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of Waterloo,715 Mulberry Street,
Waterloo,Iowa 50703.
The Ordinance designates the following
land for addition to the amended TIF
District area:
Beginning at the Southwest comer of the
Southeast V of the Southeast M of
Section 10,T88N 1`113W;thence North 33
feet to the Northerly right-of-way line of
East Shaulis Road as presently establish-
ed;thence Easterly alongg said Northerly
right-of-way line of East Shaulis Road to
the West line of the Southwest M of the
Southeast!4 of Section 11,T88N H13W;
thence Northerly along said West line to
the North line of said Southwest V.of the
Southeast Y;thence Easterly along said
North line of said Southwest % of the
Southeast 15, and the North line of the
Southeast''A of the Southeast''A of said
Section 11,and an Easterly extension of
the North line of said Southeast h of the
Southeast a to the Easterly right-of-way,
line of Hess Road as presently establish-
ed in Section 12, T88N R13W; thence
Southerly along said Easterly right-of-way
line of Hess Road to the Northerly
right-of-way,line of East Shaulis Road as
presently established; thence Westerly
along said Northerly right-of-way, line of
East Shaulis Road to the East line of
Section 11,T88N HI 3W;thence Souther-
ly along the East fine of said Section 11
and the East line of Section 14, T88N
R13W to the Southerly right-of-way line of
East Shaulis Road as presently establish-
ed:thence Westerly along said Southerly
right-of-way line of East Shaulis Road to
the West line of the Northeast 14 of the
Northeast!6 of Section 15,T88N R13W;
thence Northerly along said West line to
the Northwest corner of the Northeast Y.
of the Northeast '4 of said Section 15,
said point also being the Southwest
corner of the Southeast 'A of the
Southeast v of Section 10,T88N R13W,
and the Paint of Beginning.

Beginning at the Southwest comer of
Section 12,T88N R13W;thence North 55
feet to the Northerly right-cif-way line of
East Shaulis Road aspresently establish-
ed;thence Easterly along said Northerly
right-of-way line of East Shaulis Road and
an Easterly extension of said Northerly
right-of-way line to the East line of said
Section 12; thence Southerly along the
East line of said Section 12 and the East
line of Section 13,T88N R13W to a point
on the East line of said Section 13 that is
600 feet South of the Northeast comer of
said Section 13;thence due West to the
Southwesterly right-of-way line of East
Shaulis Road as presently established;
thence Northwesterly along said South-
westerly right-of-way line of East Shaulis
Road to the West line of the Northeast 1/4
of the Northeast 14 of said Section 13;
thence Southerly along said West line
and the West line of the Southeast n of
