RESOLUTION NO. 2020-757
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO MIDWEST
CONCRETE, INC., OF PEOSTA, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$398,757.05, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY
2021 SIDEWALK REPAIR ASSESSMENT PROGRAM - ZONE 10,
CONTRACT NO. 1018, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Midwest Concrete, Inc., of Peosta, Iowa, submitted a bid in conjunction
with the FY 2021 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 10, Contract No. 1018, in the
amount of $ 398,757.05, and is the apparent low bidder.
WHEREAS, Midwest Concrete, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2020-732, after public hearing on September 28, 2020, in conjunction with the
FY 2021 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 10, Contract No. 1018.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Midwest Concrete, Inc.in the amount of $ 398,757.05, in conjunction with
the FY 2021 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 10, Contract No. 1018, is
hereby awarded to Midwest Concrete, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Midwest Concrete, Inc.,
in conjunction with the FY 2021 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 10,
Contract No. 1018, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October 2020.
