RESOLUTION NO. 2020-760
RESOLUTION APPROVING ACCEPTANCE OF A STAFFING FOR
ADEQUATE FIRE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE (SAFER) GRANT
AWARD, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,010,772, TO HIRE FOUR (4)
ADDITIONAL FIREFIGHTERS, AND AUTHORIZING THE FIRE
CHIEF TO SIGN AND ACCEPT GRANT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that
acceptance of a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Award, in
the amount of $1,010,772, with no matching funds from the City of Waterloo, to hire four (4)
additional firefighters, is hereby approved, and the Fire Chief is authorized and directed to
execute and accept said grant on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October 2020.
