RESOLUTION NO. 2020-763
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
CONTRACT WITH TYSON FRESH MEATS, INC., OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, AND THE IOWA ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, ORIGINALLY EXECUTED
NOVEMBER 6, 2017, FOR HIGH QUALITY JOBS PROGRAM -
TAX CREDIT COMPONENT INCENTIVES, TO EXTEND THE
PROJECT COMPLETION DATE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the amendment to the contract originally executed November 6, 2017, between Tyson Fresh
Meats, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the City of
Waterloo, for High Quality Jobs Program -Tax Credit Component incentives, to extend the project
and completion date to May 31, 2021 and the maintenance period completion date to May 31, 2023,
is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same
on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October 2020.
