RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM BRIAN HELMRICHS, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE 4TH ANNUAL CEDARLOO
SLAM EVENT TO BE HELD ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2020
AND OCTOBER 10, 2020, FROM 1:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M., AT
RIVERSIDE SKATE PARK, INCLUDING THE USE OF A PA
SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Brian Helmrichs, is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on
October 4, 2020 and October 10, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in conjunction with the 4th
annual CedarLoo Slam event at the Riverside Skate Park, including use of a P.A. System, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Brian Helmrichs, for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance, on October 4, 2020 and October 10, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in
conjunction with the 4th annual CedarLoo Slam event at the Riverside Skate Park, including use
of a P.A. system, be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of October 2020.
