RESOLUTION NO. 2020-806
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST TO UTILIZE A BID,
ORIGINALLY AWARDED BY COUNCIL ON APRIL 8, 2019, TO
PURCHASE ONE (1) 2021 119 EXPLORER AWD SUV FROM
STIVERS FORD OF WAUKEE, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,088.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the request to utilize a bid, originally awarded by Council on April 8, 2019, to
purchase one (1) 2021 119 Explorer AWD SUV from Stivers Ford of Waukee, Iowa, in the
amount of $35,088, described in the specifications adopted by this Council for said purchase by
Resolution No. 2019-214, after public hearing on April 8, 2019, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said vehicle will be used by the Planning Department
for approximately one (1) year and then transferred to the Police Department. In the event a
Police vehicle is taken out of service because of a crash, said vehicle will be transferred to the
Police Department immediately.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of November 2020.
