RESOLUTION NO. 2020-819
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO B & B
BUILDERS AND SUPPLY, OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $69,722, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2021 LEISURE SERVICES
CHEMICAL BUILDING APRON PAVING PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1039, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, B & B Builders and Supply, of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $69,722, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Leisure Services Chemical Building Apron
Paving Project, Contract No. 1039, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, to B & B Builders and Supply submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2020-809, after public hearing on November 2, 2020, in conjunction with
the FY 2021 Leisure Services Chemical Building Apron Paving Project, Contract No. 1039.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B & B Builders and Supply, in the amount of $69,722, in conjunction with
the FY 2021 Leisure Services Chemical Building Apron Paving Project, Contract No.
1039, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by to B & B Builders and
Supply, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Leisure Services Chemical Building Apron
Paving Project, Contract No. 1039, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of November 2020.
