RESOLUTION NO. 2020-890
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO LANSING
BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., OF LUXEMBURG,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $52,850, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
FOR CONTRACT NO. RD-2020-12-01P, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES AT
115 SUMNER STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Lansing Brothers Construction Co., Inc., of Luxemburg, Iowa, submitted a
bid in the amount of $52,850, in conjunction with in conjunction with Demolition and Site
Clearance Services at 115 Sumner Street, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Lansing Brothers Construction Co., Inc., submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2020-872, after public hearing on December 7, 2020, in conjunction
with the in conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services at 115 Sumner Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Lansing Brothers Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $52,850, in
conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services at 115 Sumner Street, is hereby
awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lansing Brothers
Construction Co., Inc., in conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services at 115
Sumner Street, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of December 2020.
