RESOLUTION NO. 2021-004
RESOLUTION APPROVING ADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTION
ADMINISTRATION FEES OF UP TO $91,000 FOR A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH I & S
GROUP, INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA, RESULTING IN A
TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $400,000, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FIVE SULLIVAN BROTHERS
CONVENTION CENTER ADDITIONAL AND LOBBY
RENOVATION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, in the Professional Services Agreement with I & S Group, Inc., fees of
$309,000 for design and administration fees, in conjunction with the Five Sullivan Brothers
Convention Center Additional and Lobby Renovation Project, were estimated and structured as a
percentage of the total construction contract cost, and
WHEREAS, the project design changed during detailed design, the contract was awarded
in the amount of $5,516,000 and a change order of $12,939 was also approved, and
WHEREAS, additional construction administration fees, in the amount of $91,000 and a
total amount not to exceed $400,000, is needed to pay fees in accordance with the agreement
with I & S Group, Inc.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that additional construction administration fees of up to $91,000 for a
professional services agreement with I & S Group, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, resulting in a total
amount not to exceed $400,000, in conjunction with the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention
Center Additional and Lobby Renovation Project, are hereby approved.
