AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 5123, AN
ORDINANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF JACKSON AND
MERRIMAN STREETS, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 2012-656, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE
AND CONVEYANCE OF PORTIONS OF JACKSON AND
MERRIMAN STREETS FOR $1.00, PLUS COSTS TO UNION
BAPTIST CHURCH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 5123, an ordinance vacating portions of Jackson and
Merriman Streets, legally described as follows:
THE PART OF JACKSON STREET LYING SOUTHERLY OF THE
SOUTHERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF SHILLIAM AVENUE, THAT PART
OF MERRIAM STREET LYING WESTERLY OF THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-
WAY LINE OF HALSTEAD STREET, AND THE UNPLATTED
SOUTHEASTERLY EXTENSION OF JACKSON STREET AND THE
UNPLA Fl ED NORTHWESTERLY EXTENSION OF MERRIAM STREET
WHICH CONNECT ON A CURVE CROSSING LOTS 5 AND 6 IN BLOCK 7,
SHILLIAM'S 3an SUBDIVISION,CITY OF WATERLOO,IOWA
shall be,and the same is hereby rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that Resolution No. 2012-656, a resolution authorizing the
sale and conveyance of portions of Jackson and Merriman Streets for $1.00, plus costs to Union
Baptist Church,be and is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
