My name is Charles Pearson project coordinator of the Iowa Civil Rights Trail Project,Inviting all of you to the 2nd annual
Civil Rights Awards Ceremony,Friday,November 15th 2019.We have some nice things planned.beginning with celebratin;
the 60th Anniversary of Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.and Corretta's first visit to Iowa coming to Black Hawk County.After th
award ceremony we will tour Downtown Waterloo's River Loop Civil War to Civil Rights Historic Places.This includes
visiting sites in Downtown Waterloo that Cedar Valley civil rights icon Anama Weems took the King family.Below I
attached a couple of fliers inviting everyone to be part of the 2nd annual Iowa Civil Rights Awards and River-Loop Civil
War to Civil Rights History and Bus Tour. Feel free to share!

About the Riverloop Civil War to Civil Rights Self-Guided Walking Tour
November 15,2019,you are invited to join us for a special bus tour of Black Hawk Counties most significant National Registar of Historic Places and sites
associated with Black Hawk County,Grand Army of the Republic Civil War Veterans and the Reverend Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.and first visit to Iowa.Each
MILK site in Black Hawk County evokes a time and period of civil rights activism in Downtown Waterloo. Black Hawk County is the cradle of 19th/20th
Century labor history associated with Agriculture,Industrialization and manufacturing in North East Iowa. Black Hawk County Labor history is subdivided
by working class people of color that was the driver of the Black Hawk County historic Labor movements and protest.This tour also includes a number of
properties on the United States National Registar associated with Black Hawk County Veterans,Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.first visit to Iowa,and Anna Mae
Weems historic protest in Downtown Waterloo. Bridge after bridge Black Hawk County tourist and residents will experience the history of the labor
movement like never before
