PURPOSE OF TRAVEL:
Lt. McClelland is requesting to send Officer Brandt, Sgt. Schuster, and Lt. Bose to the Blue Courage Course held at the
Black Hawk County Training facility October 21-2$ 2019. This course is a must for everyone in Law Enforcement. The
course covers Personal challenges officers face throughout their career as well as cynicism, identity,judgement, integrity,
leadership and stress management. The law enforcement career is one of the most physically, mentally and emotionally
demanding jobs there is. This course trains officers to deal with that and become good leaders. This course is free of
charge and there will be no cost at all to the city.
